Well it may have been the race title but due to ice on the normal route, the course was switched to the “Stoop Fell Race” route. There was still plenty of ice on the course which was very muddy/boggy overall with lots of up hill for the fell runners.
Alastair Brownlee won the race again (it is normally one Brownlee or another!). Nine of our brave members took on the course. The absence of the stream crossing and mud slide hill from the traditional route should have helped, but this was still a tough race.
