Club Championship – Race 17 – Guy Fawkes 10

Hilly. That is all.

Timothe Dazin took 50 points followed by Niamh Jackson & Patrick Nesden.

Race 18 is the Harewood 10 next Sunday. Entries still available here.

For the full club championship results table click here.

The league table won’t be published, but please go here and check you have been allocated the correct bonus points for parkruns & marathons. Last chance to run qualifying races for bonus points is the Abbey Dash. After that, if you’re not on the list, no bonus points I’m afraid.

Guy Fawkes 10 2015

14 Harriers ran today in the 17th of 19 CC races this year at Ripley Castle. It was a beautiful morning for running up three big hills!

Well done to all and especially Niamh Jackson for finishing 3rd FV35.

This was a CC race so Steve Webb will be posting points tables on here very soon.

Club Championship Bonus Update

Evening all. I’ve just updated the Club Championship bonus points. Please see the table below (and linked here) for a list of those members who have qualified for either a parkrun or marathon bonus.

If you are not on this list, but think you should be, please drop me an email on s.w.webb1@gmail.com & I will update. Make sure to speak up before the end of the season (the Abbey Dash in just over 2 weeks) otherwise the final positions will be set and you will lose out on your bonus.

For more information on where the league table has gone, see this months newsletter (to be published in the coming days).

PECO Cross Country Number Allocation 2015/16

Thanks for all the replies from those who would like a chip/number allocated to them for the 2015/16 PECO XC series.

A page has been set up listing all those who have requested a chip, available at this link.

It’s tricky to keep track of names given all the different sources (in person, email, facebook etc), so please could everyone who has requested a chip check their name is on the list? If your name isn’t listed please email kirkstallharriers@gmail.com & it will be updated.

If you haven’t requested a chip but would still like to do so, there is still plenty of time before the first race. A deadline has not yet been set by PECO, but I’m working on the basis that it will be around the 6th November (less than 1 week from now).

Winter Time Trial Series 14/15 – Race 1 – October

The first of the Winter TT’s this evening with a good turnout of both new and familiar faces. I have to apologise to the new members whose names I’ve are spelt terribly & not included your surnames in the results, please fire across your details & I will happily update.

26 members took part and we also had a great turnout of much needed support on the course. Full results available at this link, including your actual run time.

Reasonably good conditions for an eyes out 5k, cold, dry & no wind. Unfortunately none of those made the course any less lumpy! Adam Nodwell was first across the line followed by Justin Newall & then Nathan (sorry, no surname yet).

Predictions will be revised in advance of the next TT based on your run time this evening, and to make it a little harder on you most likely.

Thanks to all those who took part, marshalled, supported & organised. The next one will be in the second week of November (I think), likely to be a Monday. Check the training schedule when it is published at the end of the month.

Remember, this is a winter series & points are accumulated based on your finish position in each TT, with your best 4 results of 6 to count (I think). Overall winners will receive much coveted glory & probably a trophy/plaque of some form. Having hunted around the website I can’t actually find the exact rules, so I’ll get something pulled together over the coming weeks summarising the ins & outs of it, unless someone else can point me in the right direction?

Historic 5k TT results are available here.
