DECEMBERS TRIAL TIME (HELD 25th NOVEMBER)<\/div>\n
On a very cold night 7 degrees but felt like freezing, and about 1 hour after a heavy downpour of rain we had 17 starters on the line. (and one dog whose name I forget to enter on the starting list) Three of these were new faces – Xander Harrison Marielle S and Mo Shoman. Hope I’ve spelt the names correctly. We also had one long standing member – who I’ve not seen for a few years – Fiona.<\/div>\n
After the usual sorting out of start times we started more or less on time to avoid too many people standing about too long at the start or finish, but for some reasons our timings went a bit awry – so if you spot an obvious error with your times – please let us know.<\/div>\n
More alarmingly – after missing her out on the start times altogether, Susie took a wrong turn and confused herself and ended up doing an 8km run. I think she also took a slight tumble so after all the other runners had finished several concerned members went out searching for her, and she did turn up eventually, safe and sound. If its any consolation to Susie – many experienced runners have had similar runs and ended with a DNF.<\/div>\n
First over the line was Jo, who did have a tweak to her expected time, but is now getting back to her normal fitness, 2nd was Fiona doing her first time trial, then Kevin (who started a bit earlier), Henry who beat his previous and only time, Lucy who is getting slowly getting back to her faster times, Joel, who started at the very back, Lucy Van Uem, Xander, Adam Marielle, Mo, Shevonne, Ben, Camilla, Lana, and sadly bringing up the rear was Jack, The time between 1st and last was quite large but hopefully we will get you better lined up for the next one.<\/div>\n
