Yesterday saw the first Yorkshire Vets race at this venue. The 10k course was very scenic and 100% on trail paths. It was also very hilly and included a long up hill finish!<\/p>\n

We had 5 men and 4 ladies who travelled to Whitby for the race. We also had an impressive band of at least 14 travelling supporters.<\/p>\n

Well done to Emma Lavelle-Wood who was 3rd lady and 1st F40, Adam Moger\u00a0who came in 2nd M35\u00a0and Ian Brown who was 2nd M70.<\/p>\n

The weather was great, so many of the runners and most of the supporters went to the beach after the race for a spot of kite flying ball games. Some even had a swim in the sea! The day was rounded off with a large portion of fish & chips followed by ice-cream. A very grand day out.<\/p>\n
