We had an excellent representation for the club today at the XC Relays at Barnbow fields.
In the inter-league competition between PECO XC and WYXC, the PECO league won by 4 points to 2.
We entered 6 teams and had Rhona Cameron running in the league representative F50+ vets team. So 19 runners in all.
We also had great support as usual from Emma Jane, the Bromley family, Bal & Mr Bal & the ever present Eric.
What is even better is that our team of Laura Hogg, Hannah Lee and Alyson Glover won the Female Open category!
On top of that our team of Robert Pratt, Alan Brydon and Andrew Cross won the Male Open category!
This is a great achievement for both teams.
The club gazebo came in very useful when the heavens opened during leg 3 and runners and spectators ran for shelter from a heavy hail storm.
In the season presentations the Ladies collected their runners up trophy and John Hutchinson won the M65 2nd place. Well done to the ladies and to John.
Photos from the relays and presentations can be viewed here

The Charlie’s Angels team came in first place and won the Sport Relief “Foot” trophy. Well done to all.
Had there been a prize for fancy dress, we would have come 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
