We had 17 members out today at the challenging (read hilly!) Honey vets race. This was a tricky opening race of the 2015 vets race series on a day when the weather forecast was for heavy rain. Luckily, the rain held off for the actual race. The total field was low for a vets race but typical for races early in the season. Our members cashed in on the low turn out and scored some valuable points for the club and for themselves.
Very well done to Emma Lavelle-Wood who finished 3rd lady overall and first F40. Add a spot prize to that and Emma was glad she decided to run today!
We had generally good success on spot prizes and raffle prizes. I counted 8 raffle prizes to our members and at least 3 spot prizes. Jill Buckley and Patrick Nesden won 2 raffle prizes each! As a club we excel at winning non-running related prizes!
