Yesterday saw the first Yorkshire Vets race at this venue. The 10k course was very scenic and 100% on trail paths. It was also very hilly and included a long up hill finish!
We had 5 men and 4 ladies who travelled to Whitby for the race. We also had an impressive band of at least 14 travelling supporters.
Well done to Emma Lavelle-Wood who was 3rd lady and 1st F40, Adam Moger who came in 2nd M35 and Ian Brown who was 2nd M70.
The weather was great, so many of the runners and most of the supporters went to the beach after the race for a spot of kite flying ball games. Some even had a swim in the sea! The day was rounded off with a large portion of fish & chips followed by ice-cream. A very grand day out.
