Time for another update in the Club Championship for 2022! Since my last update, we’ve had 3 races, more parkruns and some marathons too.
Race 10 – Chairmans Chase – saw 16 runners chase the chairman round the streets of Kirkstall, Bramley and Horsforth. Some new faces, plenty of regulars and old faces returning collectively gave a great race!
Race 11 – Half Marathon Month – only 1 runner took part in a half marathon this month, Gill at Great North Run – were there any others I might have missed?
Race 12 – Abbey Dash 10k – WET WET WET. The local 10k PB race, up and down Kirkstall Road saw 12 Harriers take to the street, almost everyone getting a massive PB in the rain!
Points against handicaps have been dished out and can be seen here: 2022 Race Results – Kirkstall Harriers
All of which means, there’s no real change in the leadership of the table, with a number of you getting close to the magic 6 races mark!
Susie Robertson leads with 246 points with James Nundy close behind with 242. Both of whom have done 5 races so far. What will happen after the 6th? Adam Moger in the bronze position after completing 4 races. The latest table can be found here: 2022 League Table – Kirkstall Harriers
There are still 3 races to complete before the end of the year:
- Leeds 5k Series – final race is 23rd November and it is a “Beat the Clock” special at the Brownlee centre; more details here: Leeds 5K Series — Even Splits
