And so we’re in the end game of the club championship in 2022. Well done to all that braved the freezing temperatures on Sunday at Temple Newsam for the PECO Cross Country Race 2 event. The Temple Newsam current course has as much downhill as up and a long jump ‘cross water at half way. Thanks to Noel and Anne Akers for taking such hilarious photos on the water jump!

We had 24 Purple Harriers out this weekend, hope you’re all warm and dry now! We had several new runners, hope this experience has only enthused you to represent us more!

As it’s a Club Championship event, points and prizes have now been dished out.

The points have been added to the bottom here: 2022 Race Results – Kirkstall Harriers

There’s no big change in the table, James Nundy leads, Susie Robertson has caught up aided by her PECO performance and the addition of a marathon bonus that was lacking previously. Can James be caught by the finish?

Only one event left, and it’s completely up to you! Had an excellent timed event that wasn’t on this years event list? Well now’s your chance to get your performance celebrated! It could be 5,10ks, parkrun or otherwise. The only stipulation is that it can’t be an event you’ve been counted for already this year (i.e if you’ve done 1-3 or 5+ parkruns, your performance can count).

How do you enter I hear you say?
