By golly – we must have some brave souls as members of our Harriers. We had a record of 25 runners taking part on the night – with 3 helpers too, on what was the coldest of nights so far this year – well we are 16 days into the year already. The temperature was minus 1 degree – with a feel like factor of minus 4. At least it was dry, and ice free, the start and finish was at least. Or were they all warming up for the local Peco cross country this coming Sunday?

We also had 4 new names to the time trial – Elizabeth Finley, Camilla Hall, Hannah Champion and Cameron Gwynne – who all managed to find their way around the route. After the usual pleas for amendments to the predicted times we managed to get them all away in some sort of order without anyone freezing over despite Adam at the back having to wait for over 23 minutes. Bringing up the rear, either claiming the booby prize or still coming back from his injuries, was Paul Chapman, recording a pw for this course. First over the line was Sioned with a run time of 23.29, recording her pb for this course, beating Hasnain who also turned in a pb of 26.09, with Hannah coming third on her debut with a run time of 25.37. Also turning in a pb for the course was Paris and Elspeth, with Matt and Vickie getting pb’s for this years runs. Fastest runner on the night was Adam in 20.34 and fastest lady was Sioned with 23.29 just beating Therese by 12 seconds. Although there were over 6 minutes separating all 25 runners, there was less then 3 minutes covering 20 runners between 4th and 24th.

We only have 4 runners who have done all 4 runs so far this year, Jo, Carol, Kevin and Adam, but there is another 2 to go, all being well & weather permitting.

Many thanks to Chris, Jemma, Ben and Adam for getting them all away in a timely fashion and helping to ensure we got all the names and times in the right order – hopefully? Let me know if you spot any errors in the results.
